Bedtime Board Game founders (and preschool parents) Michael and Kelly created the first, handmade edition of Bedtime Board Game nearly two decades ago in their Northern California home. In the years since, their son has grown up. (He now attends college and is sleeping great!) And the couple made a new home in Denver, Colorado. It’s where they launched the Bedtime Board Game company, and they are now honored to be nominated for a Colorado entrepreneurship award.
Entrepreneur of the Year is among the annual honors bestowed by Colorado Biz Magazine. The 50-year-old publication is known for recognizing top Colorado companies, products and business leaders as well as industry rising stars. They also spotlight the state’s top woman-owned and family-owned enterprises.
“It’s only been a few months since we sold the first official game at Denver’s Family Fest,” founder Kelly Mason said. “When we were exhausted parents first dreaming up this game, we never imagined it would help so many other families all these years later.”
“We’ve really been impressed with the community and all the wonderful and supportive people we’ve met since we decided to make our home in Colorado and start this company,” founder Michael Bergman added. “We’re so honored to be considered for this award.”
Past finalists of Colorado Biz Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year award include Robert Thompson, founder of restaurant and game venue Punch Bowl Social, Krista Morgan, co-founder of small-business crowdlending platform P2Binvestor, and Jim Deters, co-founder of company incubator Galvanize.
The magazine has never before honored creators of children’s board game company, and Bedtime Board Game’s founders would love to be the first!
